Information under Section 4(1) (b) of Chapter II of the Right to Information Act (Right to Information and obligations of Public Authorities)
As per letter No. 49296/Cdn.5/2013/GAD dated 24 August, 2013 from the General Admn. (Co-ordination) Department regarding – Guidelines on suo moto disclosure under Section 4 of Right to Information Act, 2005 – regarding (Ref:- Office Memorandum No. 1/6/2011-IR dated 15-4-2013 from Government of India), we have incorporate almost all the guidelines that are applicable to the Centre for Development Studies and its way of functioning. The sections above have been updated giving the necessary links to the website for ready reference. It may be noted that as the CDS is an autonomous body and hence, many of the sections that are applicable to government offices are not applicable to the CDS. However, maximum information on the CDS has been furnished as of date.
The centre is presently working on complete office automation for all sections of its administration which will make information more easily reachable and retrievable in the electronic form. In the design of the automation we have kept in mind RTI with a view to make information available easily to all. The automation is in process and may become fully operational in a few months.
